Lead crews and run jobs as a licensed Journeyman Electrician with Fine Line Electric on commercial and residential projects across West Michigan.

What you'll do

  • Run day-to-day electrical work on site and lead apprentices on your crew
  • Read plans and specs, lay out work, and plan installs and material needs
  • Install and terminate services, panels, feeders, lighting, and controls to NEC and local code
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing systems on service and remodel calls
  • Keep the lead or project manager informed and flag change requests early
  • Keep daily logs, safety logs, and job documentation current
  • Train and mentor apprentices and set the example on safety and quality

What we're looking for

  • Michigan Journeyman Electrician license (LARA), current and in good standing
  • Strong NEC knowledge and confidence reading plans and specifications
  • Commercial and residential experience, including services and conduit
  • Experience leading apprentices or running part of a job
  • Your own hand tools
  • Comfortable on ladders and lifts; able to operate a man lift
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Reliable, organized, and customer-friendly

How you grow

Journeymen at Fine Line move up to Foreman and Commercial Team Lead as they take on larger crews and jobs. We support the path to a Michigan Master Electrician license through our education reimbursement program.
